Looks like some Islamic scholars have concluded that OBL's body was not treated with strict adherance to Islamic teachings, but that they're concerns are more for the potential fallout from Muslims more than actual criticism of what US authorities did, given the circumstances.

I think we probably did this just right, and that the people likely to object probably would have objected no matter what we did.

Remember how the bodies of US servicemen were publicly dragged trough the streets of Mogadishu? If some here believe the same type of treatment should have been given to OBL's body, then they have something in common with the Somali radicals and criminals.

Me, I'm glad I'm different than them.

Yes very positve thing his death for many Americans. I just wish they could have capatured him like Saddam. Yes I feel there will be deadly strike backs but in the world we live in today this may become a way of life. I just wish he could have been taken alive.

It's just a shame they didn't catch him alive- for his punishment they could have forced him to spend the rest of his life in Harrah's properties.....

Do not let your guard down just yet. They killed the man, but they did not kill his ideology. There are still plenty of people out there who want to kill us.

Isn't that considered torture under the Geneva Convention?

I think we all need to watch our ass as I would not be surprised if there was some retaliation. I sure would be nervous about leaving the country right now.
