Hi all,
I’ve been reading a few articles on the game of Bingo (US style) which has left me with a few questions I hope someone can answer
Firstly, I’m from the UK and play bingo occasionally, so searched the internet for possible places to play when I visit Vegas and it seems the game is played completely different to our version. It seems that the tickets/cards can be bought at different prices for any one session, is this the case for all bingo sessions? For example, in the UK everyone would pay the same price for a two hour session, say £10... In the US I understand a session would typically last 1 hour, but the books can be bought at varying prices, how does this work in terms of prize money? If someone won a game who paid $15 - would they win triple the amount than someone winning with a $5 book?
On the actual bingo games, is every strip/game played in a different way? From my understanding US bingo cards have numbers underneath B.I.N.G.O, and one game may be to cover 4 corners, the letter T or a Square etc? So once the 4 corners have been called and a player has won, do they move onto a new page where no numbers have been marked off, or is there another game played on the same numbers where there was a 4 corner winner? I don’t think I’ve explained that too well, but for instance in the UK (sorry for comparing the two all the time) we have a page of numbers and play for 1 line, then 2 lines and then a Full House Example Here – all on the same game, so was just wondering whether the US version would play in a similar fashion giving more chances to win on the same game?
Last question, for the people who play bingo, can they recommend the best places to play in Vegas? Whether it be for value for money, environment, the staff etc.
Thanks in advance,
Karen
