Binion's update

Story
this is great news. i would absolutely love to stay there again, even though they were bought by four queens and had to switch from pepsi to coke.
Downtown is just getting better and better.
I stayed at the Plaza at Christmas and will stay there again this summer.
Downtown Rocks.
I am glad to see them coming back.I like the old casinos downtown.I prefer the Golden Nugget, and Cal over the others. I am glad their switching from stinkin pepsi over to Coke. Here in New England we don't drink much of either as we all love MOXIE. Text

I didn't like the $100 deposit per night at the Plaza , but the rooms were much better then before.
The water pressure is still way too low for a good Hot shower.

Now that they have finally come to their senses and changed from pepsi to the Real Thing, "Coca-Cola", they can't help but be a complete success and harken back to the glory days of their downtown dominance.
You can't mix a Cuba Libra with pepsi, it's the law.
Glad to hear the good news about downtown.

It's sure trending well of late:

*Refurbished Plaza
*Suites at Golden Gate
*Gold Spike renovated and enlarged
*New tower at Golden Nugget
*Binion's Hotel reopening
*El Cortez refreshed and enlarged
*Lady Luck renovated and reopened
*East Fremont nightclub scene

Despite the continuing impact of the 07-09 recession, the past three years downtown have actually been better than the prior three.

I did not hear that Lady Luck had reopened.

Yes, it looks like downtown is coming back.

I visit every trip and still find it a fun spot!!!

I still can remember the Arabs playing from
a suitcase full of money at a Binion's BJ table.

Seems like yesterday. LOL
Lady Luck is currently being renovated, and is due to open next year as the "Downtown Grand".

The rumors that the hotel at Binion's is re-opening are unfortunately exactly that, just rumors.

You're right, I screwed up my tense, they're working now on fixing it up and opening it. All in all, things are looking up downtown.
