Man 850,000 bitcoins lost...If you stacked them end to end they'd almost be a megabit!
If your virtually identical partner exchange just managed to misplace several hundred million dollars of virtual currency, I'd be a bit concerned that my bitcoin exchange has also misplaced my virtual currency...Perhaps they just haven't figured it out yet.
Maybe we'll get to witness the first electronic Run on a virtual currency. Unfortunately, unlike the Confederate Greyback or the 10 Million Mark Note or the 100 Trillion Dollar Zimbabwe Note I doubt there will be any collector's value in a Bitcoin....and they're too hard to melt.
