Black Jack rule?

If I had been the player with the split Aces and the supervisor told me I had to surrender one of them, I would have gone postal.

To me, split Aces is one of the best hands you can have, regardless of what the dealer is showing. I'll take my chances every time.

I'm going to assume you don't play much blackjack. Having a single Ace is far better than having two Aces.

I play a LOT of blackjack. Matter of fact, it is the only casino game I play.

It may go against conventional wisdom, but there is nothing like the thrill of knowing you have the possibility of two blackjacks from one hand.

Where do you play that you can get paid for two BJs in a hand? I don't know any US casino that pays 3-2 when you split Aces, and you are limiting yourself to only one card per Ace. A first card Ace is the single best hand you can start with. A pair of Aces ranks well below it.

Of course there is no casino anywhere that pays 3:2 on split-aces blackjack. I did not mean to imply that.

But it gives me a thrill to split aces and then pick up two face cards.

Bill, to each his own.
