Black Market Disney Guides

As someone who has trouble getting around, it's shit like this that pisses me off to no end. Hell, I have a capper permit and sometimes I'll leave the spot open if I see an open space a little further out , I know there's folks who are a lot worse off than me.

While on the subject, I was going to mention this in my TR. I noticed a huge # of people were renting scooters in Vegas who obviously were perfectly healthy, I know there's nothing illegal about it, but somehow it just seems wrong, it's kinda a slap in the face to those who actually need it, at least I feel that way. May as well say to me "yea, I'm healthy as a horse and can walk mother F'er ,but my lame ass is to F'n lazy to walk"'. There's so many times I've experienced rude Mother F'ers who take advantage of the accommodations made for those who need it. Sometimes I'm embarrassed when I have to use them because I'm capable of walking fairly well,it can be painful, it's any types of distance that is a problem tho.

I could further but I'll stop here, I get pissed of when I start thinking about it too much.

Good for your h2b. Hard to comprehend the amorality of someone who would take advantage of a benefit society's decided to give to those who suffer physical impairments.

Imagine how low an American has to be to steal from a disabled vet?

I don't understand this complaint.

If anything, these people are normalizing the use of assistive devices, perhaps giving them less of a negative stigma. They're also increasing market demand for scooters, which will both increase availability of the service (which may allow vendors to reach efficiencies of scale and lower their prices), and cause property owners to better adapt their premises to their use (which would help people who experience disabilities). All while not interfering with those who need the devices more. About the only negative factor I see here is a decrease in exercise.

I don't think there's a parallel between able bodied people who use disabled parking and able bodied people who rent scooters.

I'm afraid it does.

Reminds me of an incident at a local water park. We pay to park what seemed like 2 miles away, grab all our crap and walk 15-20 mins. to the entrance. There are at least 100 spaces designated for handicapped. We saw 3 huge SUV's pull up with an average of 12 ppl in each one. Not a single one had a limp or any obvious handicap. In fact they were running and dancing up to the gate.

My h2b decided to look at the placards hanging from their rearview mirrors and guess what? It the same one copied 2 times. He has no jurisdiction there unless he is called so he decided to play it a different way.
He called it in to his station and when thoses SUV's pulled out of the parking lot there were 2 patrol cars waiting.
Huge fines and the owner of the original had it revoked.

It was a good day at the water park.

Kudos to Mr. Treegirl for his actions and to Treegirl for posting this delightful tale.
