blackjack decks

Could someone explain how multiple decks in blackjack are shuffled to prevent identical cards from being dealt. Thanks.
They are not shuffled to prevent identical cards being dealt. In a typical 6 deck game the decks are in a shufflemaster that continuously shuffles them but does not prevent identical cards coming together. So, you could get 21 with 3 x 7 diamonds. Long odds but possible.
I'm not familiar with a fancy mechanical shuffler but in a regular shoe game they just shuffle the decks all together and deal cards. Identical cards are a sure possibility.
DonDiego is interested in the object of this question. And why the specification of multiple decks.

Is vegastrapper concerned that he might receive, f'rinstance, two 9-of-diamonds or two queen-of-spades?

Or that a sequence of cards might be repeated?

Or what, exactly?

Is the game of blackjack being confused with the game of poker?

Because you couldn't have multiple identical cards dealt from a single deck.
Example - you couldn't be dealt 2 x 7 of diamonds because the deck only contains 1 x 7 of diamonds. But a 6 deck shoe would contain 6 x 7 of diamonds.

OK.
But why would that bother anyone?

Beats me unless you are a magician!
Card shuffling is Random.

Playing BJ in the Bahamas one time another player was dealt 2 Queen of Spades.... she called them: "Two whores from Baltimore!"
Don Diego, I am not a blacjack player and just wondered if 2 cards of same look could show up in same hand. I have only played blackjack on single deck basis and was just curious. I can see where that could really cause a card counter problems. Thank you all for your answers. I think I will stay at the crap table.
