Blonde4ever Reviews Elton John – Million Dollar Piano

This show truly blew me away....

Love and Nostalgia: Blonde4ever Reviews Elton John- Million Dollar Piano

I agree. I will be sorry if I missed the last of his shows.
I grew up on his music as well.
You were blown away! That's a good thing.
That seldom happens to me. The good question would be what rock and roll talent would you like to see,B-4 you write your final epitaph?

Mine: "Well, that was fun for a while".

Jimi and Jim Morrison and Janis and Lennon were memorably events in my short lifetime.(Hippy)
There is still a chance that the ones that are still performing may entertaining to me.
It's been a while that I have been brought to tears over a song. Live music is better.

I would like to see Celine before I die. I had tickets once but she fell ill and the show was canceled.
I really MUST go before it is too late.

Another show I was blown away by was Heart.
It is funny...I don't like all of their stuff. I don't care if I never hear Barracuda again.
But their ballads are out of this world.
When you see someone 30 years after they were big stars you wonder if they still have "IT".
Well...they still have IT in spades.
No one can wail like Annie!

I would love to see Neil Diamond too.
And John Fogerty...who just happens to be in town when I will be this Spring!
I hope he is playing on my next trip.

I saw Billy Joel @ the Garden a few months ago - terrific show; 2+ hours nonstop

How about a dueling pianos show - Elton John & Billy Joel! (:

Blonde - always enjoys your reviews! Keep it up!

Thanks for the review.
I tried reading a number of other posts but they were nothing but bitching and arguing.
Had enough of that crap....for a lifetime.
Thanks again.

I saw Elton I believe three years ago. It was his first performance at Caesars after a lengthy layoff for what I believe was an appendix operation. He performed at the I Heart Music Festival the next day. The stage effects of Caesar's Colosseum are nothing short of spectacular. For Benny and the Jets he had people in the first few rows (probably purchased VIP seats) come up on stage and surround the piano while he performed. The only thing he didn't do was an encore. Once the show ended, the lights came up and you knew he wasn't coming back out. I don't know if that is part of his show or if we got cheated. I was also hoping he would play "Funeral for a Friend" but that didn't happen either.
Yes, everyone should see EJ live. It is amazing to actually see him play the piano with those small hands. A performance not to be missed.
Interesting. I went probably 5-6 years ago and we were underwhelmed. He was kind of indifferent and didn't really act much like he wanted to be there. We were disappointed.

As for Celine, I went just because and didn't expect to like her, but was blown away. Probably the most perfect show I've ever experienced. She set a perfect time, flawless voice, genuine personality. Truly inpressed.

Probably my other best concert that was surprising. WIllie Nelson, again just went because he was a legend and left with great respect.
