1. Do you not have an option for someone to contact you if they can not log in?
If a person is simply banned, yes , they can still private message me. If their IP is banned, then no.
2. Do you ban all Tucson addy's? Did you really feel you were stalked by a member trying to get back on your board?
When running a board you are subjected to all manner of weirdness. There are a lot of crazies out there.
And yes..I have been stalked from board to board before, as I frequent all Vegas message boards.
I don't normally ban all IPs from a city....lol. This was a special situation.
The man who was banned had been on our board from the beginning. Breaking rules, causing trouble, and generally being a giant pain in the butt. I made allowances for him for a long, long time but after 7 years of this crap I finally got fed up enough to ban him. Of course that resulted in tons of offensive PMs from him...so I banned the IP. Then there was another message stating that he had a million IPs and would be back on the board everyday.
So I just decided to ban every Tuscon IP I saw.
I had no idea that there was a lurker Tuscon person that I was messing up. That person has now unlurked on the board and I know who they are and they won't have their IP banned again.

Do you delete threads requested by someone other than the OP?
A. Zonaken had already contacted me by PM here, and there really was no reason for there to be a thread in the FFA forum in the first place.
B. Once Zonaken and I had conversed and solved the problem there was no purpose to the thread.
I didn't want to clutter up the board with something unnecessary.
