Book recommendation

419

419 is the Nigerian Criminal Code for fraud/scams.
This is a great book - halfway through it and really enjoying it.

A Nigerian scam?? Nah!

I mean, c'mon. Who ever heard of such a thing?

Looks interesting. May give it a try when I finish my current read. Thanks.

I got mine on Kobo - it really is a great book. The author really did his homework on how these scams work - and on the effect that Shell had on Nigeria. It is scary what happens to these people after they have been scammed - you would expect that to be the end - but it isn't!

Just testing! LOL

419

I was mixing it up with my sports car!
This is a website called "419 eater" and it's some English guy who started baiting these scammers and tricking them into wasting as much time as possible ,sending them on wild goose chases and extracting money from them whenever possible. Some of the things he actually gets these guys to do is truly hilarious(the one where he gets the guy to take a picture of him holding the fish on top of his head is probably my favorite). I haven't actually read any for years, I know it's still there, I checked, and each story can take a while to read so if you gat a few extra minutes they can be a good read.

jatki99 thanks for the link.... some funny stuff on that forum good to see someone get those scammers back.
I just read a new book, Bitter Brew. The story of Budweiser Beer. Very Interesting.
Amazon keeps recommending Bitter Brew to me. I am wondering if it's OK to drink decent beer while reading it
If it's true you can't tell a book by its cover, these may be terrific.
