Bought a video poker machine today.

Was at an auction that had a few plus some slot machines. I was surprised how much old slots go for, compared to video poker. A Wild Cherry machine sold for $1,000 where some older VP games sold for under a hundred. Of course, the one I wanted- Deuces Wild sold for more than the others. I ended up with a Double Bonus one, not a game I'm very familiar with.
But why?
Why what? Why buy a game I'm not familiar with? I want a video poker machine for the den I don't yet have. Same reason I bought a Galaxia arcade game a few months ago.
I'm not sure, but I think switching the game is just changing a chip. Also bought some very cool glass slot tops, and a Westward Ho hot dog sign.
sounds pretty cool.

I really want a vintage cowboy or Indian slot machine like the ones they have in laughlin at that saloon place. I've googled a bit, but there are lots of replicas. I think they run 3-5 grand, but I have this odd nook where one would be great. I want a cowboy one more. But would consider an Indian one. If anyone knows an antique shop let me know. I've basically been told this are extremely rare now.
My friend liked to restore arcade cabinets and put computers in them that made all the arcade games work.

I really wanted to buy a blackjack table a few times but had no real place for it.

My husband loves the pinball hall of fame in vegas. If you never been you should check it out.

I think you are referring to The Pioneer in Laughlin that has them as decorations. I think the skyline Casino in Vegas has a couple as well (not playable).

I've seen vintage slots for sale in some of the antique shops on Main St just south of the Plaza. I don't recall the Indian machines specifically but I'm sure their inventory changes regularly.
Yes, the pioneer place. Thanks.

Yes, several older properties have a few of them as decorations. I don't know anything else about them really. I googled briefly a few times. I am a vintage vegas person I guess. I moved here a year or two before the stardust and new frontier implosion. I actually went to both. In my mind, vegas is more the Wild West version, so I think all this corporate and Californians taking over has spoiled my love affair. We always assumed we'd live here forever (and on good days, I am still in love with it) but I am trying to hold out, as vegas and America right now, everything tastes sour. But we bought our house intending to keep it forever as a home base/vacation property even if we had to relocate for a while. I miss vegas. I guess I realized it is ever changing, but this incarnation sucks. Lol.
There is a shop on Highway 68 ,across the river from Laughlin, that often has vintage slots for sale. It looks like a log cabin.
. I have 2 Wild Cherry (5 cent ones). these machines have 5 sets of cherries in a bunch placed on front of machine. I have 3 Mills 10 cents machine they all work' Some dumb ass cracked a piece out 3"X4" trying to get money out. All three are popped in the rear of all three Mills. From what I have been told they are made of pot metal and cannot be welded. All 5 machines are working'
