Boy It's HOT Out Here!!!!

It started on Wednesday and Friday when it was in the mid 70's. Saturday the Santa Ana winds picked up blowing in from the dessert and it went to the 80's. Today it is really hot and it must be around 90 as we had to put the air conditioner on full blast!

I went to go to the store around 2 pm, and when I got in the car, it was sooooo hot.....Johnny Carson fans say...HOW HOT WAS IT?.......it was so hot that I couldn't even put my hands on the steering wheel. Now that's HOT!!!

I almost feel like going to the beach and take a swim to cool off, but the water temp is only 64 degrees....which really isn't bad since it only gets up to around 68-70 degrees in the summer. When I first thought of moving to Calif., I assumed there was swimming year round like Florida. But where FL. gets the Gulfstream flow...we get the Alaskan flow. BRRRR!! Surfers are in the water year round, but they wear those wet suits.
Good day to stay inside the comfortable 72 degree Casinos
24 degrees with single digit wind chills in the big frozen apple today
Sitting on my patio here in LV right now, it's 87. Enjoying a cold beer, as the first round of movers just left, and tomorrow the move starts again.

Thanks for the update prefect. Don't see how you have time to sit and relax while trying to get packed and moved.

Cheers.

Heh, thanks. My wife and I have moved cross country several times in the last 8 years, and I learned that it's a lot easier to write a check or hand a credit card to a moving company, and let professionals deal with the big stuff. Got through the international move yesterday, and most of the rest of the stuff was moved into a local unit today. Still lots to do, but in less than a week we'll be on a 23 hour journey to Macau.

From yesterday morning until this afternoon (36 hours), didn't consume anything but water, cheese & crackers, and tequila. I'm still wondering why I bothered with the water, cheese and crackers.

I'll post some stuff about Macau and casinos there when I get a chance!
