boyd -- going from ruby to sapphire..

I know the website shows the different benefits per level, but I was wondering, do the room offers, cash back, free play etc. increase significantly? I know playing for comps is usually not a good idea, but if I can get to the next level without losing the farm, is it worth it?
My wife has been a saph for a number of years. Although her comps are always less than my Emerald, she does get invited to alot of tournaments and special saph events...more than I would expect from her penny playing. If you are close, it is worth it. The double points in Vegas is a nice benny too.
I was a Sapphire for a couple of years but with the combo of them getting tighter with the comps and me going from 2 jobs to 1 and my Vegas trips going from 3 a year to 2 they dropped me to Ruby. Still get free room offers but points don't add up to fast but overall they will get less of my money. Simple economics for them, simple economics for me. I get better offers and freeplay from the Laughlin casinos that I actually visit much less frequently, so they will get more of my gambling dollars. When I fly solo, I spend half the trip in Vegas and the other half in Laughlin.
Ask Martin: sionow.
He'll chime in soon.
I'll be buckin' for sapphire on my next trip.
THUMBS UP!!!!!

... thank you for the input. I just wish airfare was not so overpriced these days! I used to visit 3-4 time a year, now I'm down to 1-2. but maybe in 2015 I can do 3 trips.
Get the SWA Visa card...I am well over a 100 free flights (wife has a companion pass).
great pointer, I do have a swa visa, and I too recommend it!
