Brady gets suspended for four games and loss of 2016 1st round draft pick

Let the whining begin.

Brady Suspension

In addition these poor guys get hammered.

...In the release, the NFL said Patriots employees John Jastremski and James McNally have been indefinitely suspended without pay by the club, effective May 6. They aren't allowed to be reinstated without the NFL's permission. If they are reinstated, the NFL said "Jastremski is prohibited from having any role in the preparation, supervision, or handling of footballs to be used in NFL games during the 2015 season. McNally is barred from serving as a locker room attendant for the game officials, or having any involvement with the preparation, supervision, or handling of footballs or any other equipment on game day." ...

[EDIT] Forgot to mention that the team has been fined 1 million dollars and they also lose a 4th round draft pick in 2017.
As far as the Patriots go the 1st rounder is good punishment, but only 4 games for Brady what a joke. Goodell might as well given him a hand job.
They kinda think maybe he knew something and suspend him for 4 games? what a crock of bullshit!
I like Tom Brady but this makes me loose respect for him. Had this been a college football or basketball team, games would have been forfeited. I guess the NFL is "too big to fail" and that won't happen. Even though the other players didn't have anything to do with it, they all benefited if this gave the Pats any type advantage, and as the leader goes, all should go. If that happened where I work, I would have been immediately fired, but again, that won't happen as big football brings in too much $$$ for that to happen.

Brady would have lost a civil trial based on evidence. The NFL punished him in that fashion. He should man up like ARod and admit it. The * is official, lol.
Ray Rice was initially suspended for 2 games for beating the crap out of his Fiancee on camera - and Brady get 4 games for "more likely than not" and not cooperating in the investigation just as Brett Farve did in the Jenn Sterger incident WITHOUT any penalty. Time for Condi Rice as NFL commissioner?
I'm guessing there will be an appeal and that it is lowered to two games (not one) before all is said and done. I am not looking forward to the NE whiners in the next few days. Those text messages were pretty damning. I guess the one guy had to quickly go into a bathroom and had 100 seconds to stick needles in the balls and deflate them. I understand why he stated he was under a lot of pressure. I believe ideal pressure is 16 psi, and that the ideal brady pressure was 12.5 psi.

I would have been OK with additional punishment for Rice and Favre. But there is no comparing these cases. Brady compromised the integrity of the game. Rice and Favre showed bad personal character that had nothing to do with the outcome on the field.

I like it. She'd know what to do.

Faced with this shocking sneak attack by the New England Patriots', she could apply her experience and order an invasion of Wrigley Field and its secret, undisclosed cache of non-regulation hockey pucks!

More likely than not is a legal standard it means as someone else put it in this thread you're liable by the standards used in a civil trial in America. Sean Payton got a year off and there wasn't any evidence against him they just said he was the head coach so the standard was "he should have known." If you get a year off for simply having should have known shouldn't you get more if it was more like than not that you actually did know? Hell Josh Gordon got suspended a year for having a beer on his flight to Las Vegas.
