Do we have any information on their policy regarding using comps on a room to stash a skanky ho?

Actually Fed, I didn't call it. Was just passing on info that I heard from a reliable source. Has there been an announcement. I assume that the Jan 1, 2012 is the date of the change.

The Breaking News in March was to happen "in 30 days" (April), .......................... and it's not happening until 2012.

It was the first hotel I stayed at many years ago. At that time it was the largest hotel in America; now I don't think it is in the 10 largest in Vegas.

As a Hilton Gold member I received express checkin, free upgrades, free breakfast and free workouts. It is also pretty cheap. Won't be staying there as often in the future though.

DonDiego proposes Hilton Management consider the following as both the new-name and a new-theme for the-edifice-formerly-known-as-the-Las-Vegas-Hilton:

I'm willing to bet the new name will have something to do with Resorts International, since my last player's club card from there has that name on it.

I suggest the classic “There is no compelling reason to stay here.” I wouldn’t be surprised if this place gets mothballed.

The LV Hilton will not get mothballed. The close proximity to the Las Vegas Convention Center means a steady stream of conventioneers to stay there. It could be turned into a Motel 6 and it would still fill up.

How about the worlds largest Motel 6? Bedbugs for no extra charge.
