Breaking news on Jay Cutler

Torn MCL, you could endanger your career to have kept playing. If you watched him try to pedal the bike on the sideline you would have seen that he had some problems.

He does appear to be aloof and non-caring at times visually, but that is not always an accurate view.

His teammates do not question his effort so we should by more what his teammates think instead of a bunch of "ex-jocks and so-called analyst"
My wife says that if you can pedal the bike you are good to go.
Cutler took more of a beating this year than any NFL quarterback since Archie Manning with the Saints --- and, yes, I've seen them all. He was getting murdered every week this year and hung in there (while developing more bad habits, but that has nothing to do with toughness). If Brady or Manning had taken hits like Cutler did this year, management would have sat them to save their investment.

Anybody who questions his toughness never saw him take murderous beatings while at Vanderbilt versus SEC teams that had them overmatched and trailing each game, every game.
lettuceman- well, now that the results are in, what do you have to say now?

My, My, My.

We have a noted NFL authority on here reporting that Jay Cutler has a torn ACL.

That is a OUT AND OUT LIE !!!

He does not have a torn ACL.

Here is what he has: "sprained medial collateral ligament of the knee"

As for his character.......all I can say is if Cutler had 5% of the heart that Walter Payton had, we wouldn't have tens of millions of Chicago Bears fans hating his guts.

I can tell you this from personal experience. I have partied with many, many members of the Chicago Bears over the years. I have NOT partied with Jay Cutler, but I have observed (from a very close distance) Jay's interaction with the fans.......and I can tell you this: HE SUCKS SOMETHING HORRIBLE when it comes to fan interaction. Never have I seen such a spoiled little brat such as him.

Whilst players like Lance Briggs, Robbie Gould, Patrick Mannnley......and ex Bears players such as Big Cat Williams, Alex Brown, and Tom Waddle all enjoy mixing it up with the fans and having fun, little wuss Cutler picked a spot close to the wall and tried to hide. Hell, even notoriously moody Brian Erlacher is 10x better with fan interaction then Cutler......and that's saying something !

The bartender one night on duty tried to get a shirt signed (Official NFL jersey mind you) and Mr. Spoiled little asshole refused to sign it.....until Briggs and Gould shamed him into it.

Even his own teammates know what kind of asshole this little punk is........altho they will not admit it to the media.

So all these fans and folks that are ripping on Cutler have got it correct in my book. I have seen the little spoiled trust fund baby in action and it ain't pretty !

There's a reason he got run out of Denver on a rail !

Jay Cutler

The Bears seem to go out of their way to get an under achieving QB. They would be better off with Tebow.

The NFL authority on here is reporting what was in the news. I heard them say on ESPN that an MRI showed a torn MCL. I did not see the images or radiologist's report.
Sarah Palin.

I was there and Cutler and re-watched the game last night on my DVR.

It was clear in the late 2nd quarter that Cutler could no longer plant his foot and accurately throw the ball more than 10 years. It cost the Bears an interception near the end of the half when they were driving. After seeing Cutler sacked more 50+ times this year, more than any other QB, I do not question his heart. I do question the coaching staff about:

a) deferring the opening kickoff against a high powered offense
b) elevating Todd Collins to 2nd string after he was demoted for his game play in Carolina
c) leaving Cutler in the game as long as they did
d) putting in Haney wigth < 1 minute left in the 3rd quarter. Since Haney was the emergency QB, they would need to replace him with a non-QB as Cutler and Collins were not allowed to return BY RULE. So they did not know the rules
e) Calling a timeout on 3rd and 1 on the last drive when Haney could have gotten the play off and Forte had 5+ yards.
F) Then calling an end around and losing three yards - stupid play call

It was a good game and I wish the Packers well --- but don't blame this on Jay, blame it on the coaching staff.

Also in 1988, there was a QB with a sprained MCL who missed the last 6 games of the regular season and then the 1st playoff game. He came back for the NFC championship, looked bad and was beat 28-3. This was Jim McMahon. Bear fans make him a saint and he missed 7 games with the same injury.

Who said he had a torn ACL? From what I can see it's just you. It is an MCL, he should not have been playing on a torn MCL. Something tells me it's not the injured knee that upsets you about Jay Cutler.

Nobody has Payton's heart, I still don't think we have hit on your problem with Mr. Cutler.

Maybe this year the Bears can can draft a Public Relations guy for you to party with.

One night? I think I see the problem. Jay hurt your feelings one night, didn't he? It must have made you very sad, even angry.

I don't want to party with Jay Cutler. I want the Bears to win. I get sad and angry when they loose. I think you have a better shot at your dream date with Cutler, than I have at seeing Jay win a SB with the Bears.

Good luck to both of us, and GO BEARS!
