Breaking news!! Singer drops his escrow demand!

Money, here's something to think about.

Hitler was an environmentalist. Would you place all Hitler's ideas on your website because he promoted a few good environmental ideas?

Wake up!

I don't think it is right that a few haters can chase someone away because of that person's opinions. It's as bad as being racist. So for what it is worth Money you have at least 1 person at your back. But I still don't care for Singer.

I don't think he's leaving because people are attacking his ideas. He seems to thrive on that. He's leaving because his real-life identiy was exposed. That is totally understandable.

EXACTLY!!

I have called Singer a con-man and that is the correct term. Calling someone a con-man is not an accusation of criminal activity. The "con" in con-man comes from the term "confidence man"; someone who gains your confidence in order to trick you into something.

Yes, I absolutely do believe that with every fiber of my being.

$LA,
Good Luck to you too.

Money, none of your evasions or disclaimers will mean SHIT if someone makes a choice to come after you for this. Your blindness to the fact that there is nothing in this for you but trouble is stupefying.

Sad to see you go. But, I don't see why you have to go. Maybe you just can't post about certain "high-level" meetings. What about your son? Is he staying? I hope so.

For what it's worth, I don't see Singer as a con-man. Singer is a little different. I think he believes in his system. A real con-man knows he's selling snake oil. There are many gambling systems. None of which really work but all serve similar to Singer's, to make you a small winner most of the time and a big loser few o the times. If Singer and his followers win, good. Rather them than the casinos. If Singer and his followers lose, well that's gambling. The house is supposed to win.

Caveat Emptor.

I'll second this. Maybe he can retire the MoneyLA username and return as someone else with a broader perspective...Like MoneyCA.
Money is in a difficult position right now. While I don't really care if he leaves or stays, it's in his own interest to leave. Money has been told that he is advertising a con. If someone loses lots of money and finds out he was told it was a con and he didn't remove it from his site ... well, you get the picture. If he leaves this subject will more than likely be buried within a couple of days and the risk diminishes.
Most entertaining thread in some time. Please don't delete it!

Good point. I agree with that reasoning and believe that Singer didn't set out to be a con man any more than a crib manufacturer sets out to build a defective crib that endangers babies. But once that defect is found, I'd be surprised to see any consumer advocacy agency still supporting the crib as a best buy saying that the crib still has some other benefits that outweighs a few dead babies. Besides, it's just fair reporting to represent all products.
I have been reading this thread... total facepalm...

I have never seen so much disrespect and rudeness by "adults" in my life, and I have been around some looneytoons I'll tell ya...

Anyway, you are all entitled to your own opinions... ALL of you, that is why life is such a great thing...

I will say this much... The times I met RS he was very nice and approachable... Yes, the subject of users on the message boards came up, and he did not bash any of you, but respectively explained why he does not believe in the same type of VP play (advantage or not).

Chipchick... I am sorry that you joined this forum with such a negative attitude rite out the bat... and in response to your question... RS's website was up until a few months ago with ALL of his strategy as far as bank roll management and reasoning for his special plays... It looks as if he removed it, and its understandable. Websites do not exist for free. RS himself has older books to sell yes, but he does not push them. And guess what, no one has to buy them. In fact, you are NOT required to buy a book to play video poker... you can also walk up to a VP machine and hold a dealt 3 6 9 10 rainbow and hope for an Ace if it makes you happy. You can do what ever you want.

Snidley... thanks, I don't think I am going anywhere... Although, I may have lost a little bit of passion for Video Poker, but maybe with the flashy lights, loud noises, and smoke I will get it back.

If RS's system works for him... Great

Before I met RS I did some similar things that his strategy calls for, and I do it because I like to gamble. I am not playing VP for my income, I play for entertainment and if I win, great... If I am having a good session playing DDB and am dealt 222KK, I may hold the 222, and you know what... a few times it has hit, and hit with a kicker... I agree it is best to hold the FH, but I want to gamble and go for the bigger win, its fun, why not. If the extra 30 credits really meant that much to me more than the 15 I would get from holding just the trips, I shouldn't be spending my money playing VP. neither should anyone at that point.

Afterall, there are no "RULES" to video poker. You could be dealt a full house and throw it away... its YOUR money, do what you want with it. If you want to hold what you are given and get paid on that, good for you, if you want to hold something that will give you a little less, but leave you open to a bigger win, good luck!! I hope you hit!!

We have witnessed people dealt a straight flush 9-K and drop the 9 to hit a royal... she did it because she wanted to gamble and hit the royal, she did... and she never heard of RS.
