I have been reading this thread... total facepalm...
I have never seen so much disrespect and rudeness by "adults" in my life, and I have been around some looneytoons I'll tell ya...
Anyway, you are all entitled to your own opinions... ALL of you, that is why life is such a great thing...
I will say this much... The times I met RS he was very nice and approachable... Yes, the subject of users on the message boards came up, and he did not bash any of you, but respectively explained why he does not believe in the same type of VP play (advantage or not).
Chipchick... I am sorry that you joined this forum with such a negative attitude rite out the bat... and in response to your question... RS's website was up until a few months ago with ALL of his strategy as far as bank roll management and reasoning for his special plays... It looks as if he removed it, and its understandable. Websites do not exist for free. RS himself has older books to sell yes, but he does not push them. And guess what, no one has to buy them. In fact, you are NOT required to buy a book to play video poker... you can also walk up to a VP machine and hold a dealt 3 6 9 10 rainbow and hope for an Ace if it makes you happy. You can do what ever you want.
Snidley... thanks, I don't think I am going anywhere... Although, I may have lost a little bit of passion for Video Poker, but maybe with the flashy lights, loud noises, and smoke I will get it back.
If RS's system works for him... Great
Before I met RS I did some similar things that his strategy calls for, and I do it because I like to gamble. I am not playing VP for my income, I play for entertainment and if I win, great... If I am having a good session playing DDB and am dealt 222KK, I may hold the 222, and you know what... a few times it has hit, and hit with a kicker... I agree it is best to hold the FH, but I want to gamble and go for the bigger win, its fun, why not. If the extra 30 credits really meant that much to me more than the 15 I would get from holding just the trips, I shouldn't be spending my money playing VP. neither should anyone at that point.
Afterall, there are no "RULES" to video poker. You could be dealt a full house and throw it away... its YOUR money, do what you want with it. If you want to hold what you are given and get paid on that, good for you, if you want to hold something that will give you a little less, but leave you open to a bigger win, good luck!! I hope you hit!!
We have witnessed people dealt a straight flush 9-K and drop the 9 to hit a royal... she did it because she wanted to gamble and hit the royal, she did... and she never heard of RS.
