there you go obsessed with karen again.
To Bob Orme: My website is not about personal attacks and personal insults. If you want to have a website about personal attacks and personal insults, start your own.

KayPea-- my website is a separate business from my PAID TV SHOW. Other news websites -- even those of the New York Times, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, the Las Vegas Review Journal, CNBC -- all carry paid advertising. Yes, KayPea, the free press can carry paid ads. My reports on video poker -- Singer's system and the articles about correct strategy -- and even my interview with AC -- were not PAID. However, there are paid ads appearing on those pages.

And regading the insults -- from all persons -- there is no need for it in discussions among mature people. I have also DELETED from my forum insults and offensive comments. And the "editor deleted" notations are there for all to see.

For all of you who have it out for me, enjoy yourselves. I do what I do. This is not the first or only time I've felt public pressure for doing what I do.

Back in the 1970s I had the oil companies after me (my investigations led to a slew of consumer laws about gasoline retailing including requirements that octane be posted on the pumps) and then I had government agencies after me (my investigations at CBS led to changes in how the Unemployment and Consumer Price Index reports were tabulated) and in the 1980s my investigations put a bunch of mortgage-backed investment fraudsters in jail in Florida, and in the 1990s I uncovered a lot of government waste.... and it goes on and on. I did report on other things besides where to buy discounted furniture.

Frankly, I didnt start this. FedOmalley made a challenge to Singer. Since I reported on Singer, I have an interest in seeing the challenge take place. I offered to webcast the damn thing. Somebody is going to win that bet. IS IT ON OR OFF?
Then why do you insist on calling me Chip when you know it irritates me.
I am insulted by that.

I am very sorry. I had no idea that you are insulted by that. You can call me Money, you can call me LA, you can call me $LA, you can call me any variation of my screen name and I would only think that you are abbreviating it. When I used the shortened version of your name, it was like using a nickname: Bill instead of William, Jim instead of James, Al instead of Alan, Kat instead of Katherine, Geege instead of GiGi (I once had a girlfriend named GiGi and she was "geege" to everybody).

As I said before I do not care about going for comps. I give enough play to have not payed for a room in 15 years at a casino.
If they are rating me at what I know I played, I see no issue. I am not sure why you do or am I reading you wrong?

chip, Ive been a 7stars player ever since HET took over Caesars. But even though I have about the same budget each year, last year I had more than 480-thou tier points because I played mostly VP instead of mostly craps as in years before when I would have about 120,000 to 180,000 tier points. My annual loss was about the same each year.

the only difference I think is rating and points assigned to VP vs craps.

As I said, Ive had weekends when I spent 15 hours or more at the craps table only to find out I was rated for just two hours of play.

Yes, you should verify with the floorman how you are rated. But as slapinfunk pointed out-- what is the rating worth in terms of tier points and comps?

Even for 7stars players there is a differerence in what you get when you have 100,000 tier points or 400,000 tier points. while you dont PLAY for comps, you want to be sure that you are getting the proper rating so you are entitled to the comps you should be getting.

edited to add: even if you get free rooms, would it make a difference to you if you got a $2500 shopping spree vs a $1200 shopping spree?

Geezy peezy, what do you want me to tell you? I already stated I do not play for comps but get all I need.
I enjoy gambling and get free rooms, food, limos, etc.
If I am being rated the correct amount than I am getting the comps I deserve.
I do not play slots so that does not come into the equation.
I am not a shopper so I don't really care, but I am sure if my play warranted it, I would be awarded it.

p.s. ???chip??? make me sound like a little boy.
I would rather be called by my full nic, chic or cc anything other than "chip".

lol

Chipper, if you are happy with how you are being rated at table games, good for you.

Frankly, Chipchik, I never took it seriously. I never thought that anyone who posts on the Internet with a "handle" (fictitious name) would get upset over "nicknames" or "contractions" or abbreviations of their name. I guess I should ask Arcimedes if he gets upset that I call him "Arc" ??

I find it very confusing. Comments like the one below make it sound like you offer internet advertising on your website:

Quote

From Alan's Best Buys website
But what media survives and deserves your advertising dollar today? Well, you're looking at it -- the Internet and web sites such as this one. And one reason is that consumers now "window shop on their computers" because it is faster and easier and much cheaper than getting in their cars and driving to a store or to a mall.
...
And you belong on our web site -- see information about our web site traffic and service reliability below. We now have a website that caters to Las Vegas residents as well...
...
The video reports that we produce for our Best Buys TV Show with Alan Mendelson are also made available to you for your use on your own web site; and we post the videos on YouTube, and we have the videos on this web site as well, in a "category page" that fits your business.

Now I know that you have the traditional banner ads like are on many websites. And I also know that you like to produce ads that look like news stories to fool the consumer into thinking you're reporting on the news rather than producing a cleverly designed commercial.

Quote

From Alan's Best Buys website
Our "news style" used to produce our infomercials adds to your company's credibility. We call our style "reality advertising" and we think it is very effective because of the news style that we use.

All of this combines to confuse the viewer. I can't tell what on your website is paid advertising and what is news. As a result I have to assume the whole website is one big infomercial without any news content at all. And that's the difference between you and the news websites. They have real reporters; you just play one on TV.

The good news in all of this is that I no longer have an issue with you supporting Singer since I now realize that you're just a paid actor working on his behalf. You should have said that in the first place.
