Oh TsudoNihm, what memories! Back in my old airline days this is exactly what the flight attendants did during contract negotiations... they would multi book flights on the most popular routes and then be "no shows." This was back in the day when you didnt have to put up a credit card and there were no cancellation fees. It caused havoc when flights that were "sold out" suddenly had zero passengers.
