Just look up gov't shutdowns on Wikipedia. They've gone both ways. But my favorite is 1977 with Dem Senate, Dem House and a Dem Prez. I always thought Carter would be the worst president I'd see in my lifetime. I think the dude that is working on his legacy and trying to get on Mount Rushmore has greatly surpassed him.
