Breaking: No Hearing For Any Obama SCOTUS Nominee

Just look up gov't shutdowns on Wikipedia. They've gone both ways. But my favorite is 1977 with Dem Senate, Dem House and a Dem Prez. I always thought Carter would be the worst president I'd see in my lifetime. I think the dude that is working on his legacy and trying to get on Mount Rushmore has greatly surpassed him.

"A funding gap was created when disagreement over the issue between the houses had become tied to funding for the Departments of Labor and HEW, leading to a partial government shutdown. A temporary agreement was made to restore funding through October 31, 1977, allowing more time for Congress to resolve its dispute." Wiki
There are many ways to play dirty politics, and the Liberals have been winning at this for years. Get ready for the fight.

So ecomstoc, you have to reach back to the year little Apple Computer was incorporated to show how Democrats are being meanies. Dude, I think you just made my point.

I bet you didn't mean to do that.

You're correct that we're angry. We're angry at the GOP from getting steamrolled by the Dems with dirty politics. There is unfortunately only one way to defeat dirty politics, and it's with more dirty politics. It's a shame that the Democrats have placed the Republicans in this position.

After decades of Democrats playing dirty politics, they now complain about Republican dirty politics. Just wait to see what happens if Trump wins. He will do a great job of beating Democrats at the Dirty politics game.

This may be payback for Obama actions the past 7 years.

Boilerman spells out exactly why the GOP is doomed. Their entire platform is anger and "payback". They don't have a solution for healthcare, income disparity, immigration, or foreign policy - which is why they are blasting Obamacare even as they go for someone who is running to the left of it...(and this after they nominated the founding father of Obamacare in 2012).

Nobody knows what a Republican will do if ever elected to the White House - including the candidates who are running. If the Republican Congress is any hint then it will be a whole lot of temper tantrums and nothing else.

And this type of attitude is EXACTLY what is going wrong in this country currently, I'm thankful you're not anywhere close to the Hill for any type of input. The same bitching and moaning on both sides has gridlocked the country and completely lost sight of what's most important for this country and the citizens who live here.

WHAT!? You're basing an argument on the current technology at any certain period of time? Are you serious? Talk about embarrassing.

jatki, I'll eliminate what seems to be confusing you. Maybe you'll get it, but I have my doubts. Here goes:

I bet you didn't mean to do that.
