Looking for a good place to bet the ponies next weekend. Any suggestions about a good race book to make some donations?

Never thought of the Orleans. Thanks I'm looking for something along those lines.

Lagasse's Stadium at the Palazzo is our choice for watching the Breeder's Cup every year. We'll be there for most of both days enjoying the comfy seats, great food and (hopefully) cleaning up on our bets! Keeping my fingers crossed that my Triple Crown success from this year carries through to a big score on BC weekend!

Palazzo is pretty convenient since we're staying at TI and I never have any luck at their book. How early do you think you need to be at any of the books to get a seat? Thanks for the reply and good luck with your selections.

I'd suggest giving Stadium a phone call to reserve something ahead of time. They usually don't do anything special (ie. parties & giveaways) for the Breeder's Cup but it is a fun place to watch the races! They were packed for the Saturday races, and were surprisingly busy for the Friday races as well last year. Remember there are also college football games on Saturday so it's not just the racing crowd that's vying for those seats.

Good luck with your BC bets as well - cash in some big ones!

Thanks for the link. I tried calling but got a recorded message so I'll try again tomorrow. Sure hope my race bets go better then my football picks, not doing to well in the LVA football pool but still a long way to go.
