A Brief Summary of the 2016 Election Cycle (POL)

The problem is that the Libertarian Party is generally not Libertarian.

Poor old DonDiego finds pretty much all the major-party candidates objectionable based upon personal honesty/responsibility as well as disagreements with governing principles...
Grieving-wise, DonDiego is right on schedule.

  • Denial
  • Anger
  • Bargaining
  • Depression
  • Acceptance

I feel sorry for forkush. He sounds sort of, well, . . . sad.

Apparently, he's a little further down the grieving scale than DonDiego:

  • Denial
  • Anger
  • Bargaining
  • Depression
  • Acceptance

Soon, we'll be calling him Mr. Acceptance.

Poor old DonDiego has found that he apparently doesn't respond to events as the Kübler-Ross model suggests one should.

Whether learning of a loved one's death, or being informed of a serious illness, or recognizing the inadequacies of main-line politicians, or some other unpleasantness DonDiego has pretty much followed the path of checking for accuracy followed immediately by acceptance and moving on.
  • No denial; it is what it is.
  • No anger; at whom?, for what?
  • No bargaining; with whom?
  • No depression; sadness, yes! Then one moves on.
  • Acceptance; it is what it is.

n.b. This does not mean poor old DonDiego never questions something, or gets angry. And heckfire he's often depressed, . . . and for good reason too! But he prefers to just maintain a tight grasp on the world as it is and keep moving through it as best he can.

Well, . . . that certainly was not helpful.

Your average "libetarian" does not support getting rid of Medicare or Social Security. And they dont seem to understand how contrary that runs to the ideology they pretend to subscribe to.

That's a pretty ridiculous statement PJ. Do you support evry issue of the DNC? Does every Republican support every issue of the RNC line? That's insane to fault any ideology because everyone doesn't support the line.
