Budget breakfast buffets -- Terrible's OK, IP not so much

For some people "treating" themselves is having more to gamble with. If someone wants to eat cheaper meals and stay at cheaper hotels because that will leave them with more money to gamble with then why should that be a problem? There is a big difference between choosing to eat meals that are inexpensive and eating them because that is what they can afford. To each their own.
That's fine if you look at it that way, I look at it being cheap. When they go home with no bankroll left, they have the memories of that budget breakfast...lol
Dude, I've been taking money out of LV for YEARS. I eat breakfast because I'm hungry.

Just trying to make an informative post about the ACG coupons.

Like Garthman, I had eaten at the IP buffet occasionally in the past, but lately I've been disappointed by the value received for the price paid. I decided to use the ACG coupon that morning, and then went back a second time, because I didn't want to rant based on only one visit.

The biggest problem at IP, after you discount it $5 to $8.60, is the service. Just terrible. Why do the juice dispensers dispense water flavored with juice? Why are there no juice glasses? I was there before 9 am.

So I had to use a coffee cup for the "juice," and then the server poured coffee into the "juice," after I pointed at the other cup to pour into. WTF? And then the second time, the server brought me coffee and literally threw 6 of those little mini-cups of creamer onto the table. WTF? It's not like I'm rude, or disrespectful. I just wanted breakfast.
One of the neat things about Vegas is the wide variety of quality eating establishments with CHEAP prices.
Sometimes you have to sort through a few tourist traps before you find the good places. I agree Terrible's diner is a gem.

Last year I tried out the buffet at Aliante. I though it was very good, and the price was great. Aliante is way out of the way for most people, but I like to travel all over the Vegas area. It's a very nice casino and wasn't busy at all! Not really sure why if people eat an inexpensive meal it must mean they're being "cheap". As long as someone enjoys their trip I don't see why it matters what they choose to spend their money on....
I just love the diversity on LVA!!

Some eat cheap!!

Some spend lavishly to eat!

Others don't eat and spend it all on gambling!!

All have a great time in Las Vegas!!
_____________

Remember to stay in the travel budget fro the trip!!!
A few years ago I found out it was possible to sustain myself for three days in Las Vegas on a diet that consisted of nothing but Budweiser. I don't think they serve Bud at the buffet at Terrible's or at the buffet at the IP...at least not for breakfast.
I agree in the diversity of las vegas and those who like to go there. Something for everyone. Being able to afford to splurge I usually chose not to. I don't at home very often either. BTW my favorite restuarant is Dupars downtown. Great food reasonable prices. I will splurge on shows though.
I'm with you all the way, CC.
All I know is I ate the IP breakfast about 9 months ago and it was by far the worst food I have ever had on a buffet anywhere. Rooms were satisfactory, location is great, I have had better service but overall the bufett was at that time HORRIBLE.
