btw, in Hawaii it's the filipinos who are considered the ones who eat dog (they say that black dog is a delicacy), I haven't heard jokes about koreans eating dog although I read that they do. A year or two ago a couple of guys got convicted, a golfer took his dogs to the course and tied the dogs up when he played 9 holes. when he came back the dogs were gone. someone identified one of the filipino people taking the dogs and when he was interrogated he said that he ate em. It is in their culture to eat dogs, although us americans cringe at the thought. Just FYI and sorry for being off track from the primary posting.

thanks indiana for your kind words too. I think many like the hawaiians because of their "aloha" spirit. Most of us are more laid back (hang loose) and have a "whatever" attitude about things. when you do get them mad watch out though, it could get explosive.

Me? I was born in chicago and live there for my first 6 years. Guess I got indoctrinated in the hawaiian culture but some of the less laid back attitudes are still with me (angry american, lol).

Many hawaii people envy the las vegas people. we have no legalized gambling in our state and have to get on the plane to go over 5000 miles to get our gambling fix. No lotteries or any type of gambling functions, heck they are even killing any gambling at bingo. That's why Boyd catered to the hawaii people so much, you have a whole state looking to take their gambling money someplace.

I did not intentionally set out to call any one in particular cheap, but as the saying goes "if the shoe fits". It sure seems to fit here. I have received numerous pm's but none of you will say on the thread what you expressed in them. No big deal to me as I have no interest in this site full of uptight wanna-be's. My family has run a restaurant in a tourist town for over 40 years and you are the ones we groan over when you come in, always looking to save a dollar instead of treating yourself.

Observations 101:
1)- All these years I've been told and also used phrases like "you're so tight you squeak" is a racist remark and slamming billions of people? Honestly, I never knew that.

2)- You mean they replaced the "Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada" with "Welcome Fuck You"? This can't be good for business IMO.

3)- Don't anybody even try to blame Rob Singer for this brouhaha.

I suppose the people who like to treat themselves go to a nice restaurant. It appears that is not the type of restaurant your family runs. You would actually have to know someone to judge how "cheap" they are. Many people who are wealthy still don't spend a lot of their money. I suppose that is hard for someone so closed minded like yourself to understand. If you have no interest in this site then do everyone a favor and leave.

its always baffled me when idiot strangers get so worked up over what other people eat in vegas. now i understand why you fail to realize that just because YOU want something, doesnt mean anyone should. you dont care about anyone treating themselves. if you did, you would realize that what you consider a treat, others dont. now that you have let your true colors show, i see that you dont really care about other people, you only care about your profit and this is why you are waving the "SPEND MONEY ON STUFF YOU DONT WANT TO SPEND MONEY ON" flag so high.

The overwhelming percentage are either entertaining, informative or level-headed with a fresh perspective. You are none of the above. Your posts seethe with defensiveness over being a woman, or frustration when someone dares hold a contrary preference. Go get some therapy.
