Buffet on taxes

"Warren Buffet recently told his loyal investors, "I will do anything that is basically covered by the law to reduce Berkshire's tax rate. For example, on wind energy, we get a tax credit if we build a lot of wind farms. That's the only reason to build them. They don't make sense without the tax credit"
Oh,hell I this was about a buffet!
Not Warren.

Don't blame hoops. It was the geniuses at Fox Business who misspelled the name.

Such a typical Forkie comment.

Nah, but as usual, the appropriate response to you is ridicule.

I could have offered a more fulsome argument about how plenty of people buy homes because of the mortgage interest tax deduction and how employer based health insurance would not be possible without a trillion dollar plus tax exemption, ditto investments in the fossil fuel business, and then you could argued otherwise. But that would involve reason and intelligent discourse.

Which is obviously a foreign language to you.

Proviiding medical insurance is a benefit (& a cost of business) to incent people to come work for a company vs. a company that doesn't provide insurance.

forky and company think business expenses is a tax boondoggle

People buy homes to live in. If there wasn't a mortgage deduction, people would still buy homes. However if there weren't tax credits nobody would invest in windmills. If the only way an industry can make money is thru tax credits that industry is doomed to failure.
