Buffets: Who has the best of all the Boyd Group

I dont like any of the Boyd buffets. Orleans used to have a good dinner but not so much anymore. There are better buffets for the price (Silverton comes to mind)

I tried MSS 4 years ago. Dried, overcooked meats on the carving station. Duncan Hines cakes for desert. Canned fruits on the salad bar. I found it to fall short of Golden Corrale.
Thanks for reminding me about the ST Firelight buffet, Makiki. I agree that the dinner is bleh - I could find enough things there to fill my stomach but unless it's a freebie, I'd skip it. Definitely skip the breakfast buffet there - they use less than a third of the available serving stations and with the selection so limited, hard to find a variety of things to like.

In my opinion, the Sam's Town buffet isn't as good as Main Street Station's or The Orlean's but I did enjoy a few aspects of it.
I was there on Italian Night and they will make pasta dishes to order. I had a wonderful chicken fettuccine with lots of garlic and mushrooms. They also have hand scooped ice cream (as much as you want!)
Aloha,
Jennifer
Orleans is our least favorite buffets. We enjoy Suncoast the most. Gold Coast has a pretty good breakfast but their dinner buffet has a lot to be desired. We also like MSS for breakfast. Love the cinnamon buns and the entertaining egg chef. Dont much care for their dinner.

I agree with MSS as the best - a little bit disconcerting to see all of the Jello and pudding for dessert, but that's the crowd they get for the most part.

Hey! There's nothing wrong with pudding unless it has a skin on it.
Another vote for MSS.Good value also, not priced to high.
I haven't been there in a long time, but the Orleans used to have crawdads on their buffet table.

Thank you! The only way that the MSS buffet qualifies as the best of anything is that perhaps it is the best of the worst. I would have chosen the Orleans a few years ago but not so much at this time.

I know one thing for sure,we will never eat at fremont buffet again(dont even ask me why we didnt do MSS instead, just kinda happened), that had to be the worste. Not make you want to puke bad,but not far off.

Sorry, not following op topic, but thought it might be pertinent to it.

Unfortunately, both pjstroh and alexlifeson are correct.

If MSS has the best buffet - that ain't saying much!!

Many other and better choices are available.
