Care to elaborate with some suggestions?
I always enjoy the Orleans buffet for lunch or dinner when in Las Vegas. I especially enjoy the Wednesday night steak & scampi buffet. I am not a big breakfast fan at all. In fairness, I have never had the Main Street Station or Suncoast buffets. The only others I have had are Gold Coast and Sam's Town.

No problem!!

Red Rock, GVR, Aliante and Sunset Station all have reasonably priced buffets - and all are better than any Boyd buffet.

The buffet at M, is also very good, but it's a little pricier.

Hope this helps!!

Although there was talk of Boyd buying Station, these are still owned by Station and not Boyd.
I think you misunderstood the question.

Oh, did I have to limit the choices to only Boyd properties??

In that case - I have no suggestions, other than to choose a non-Boyd property.
Just out of curiosity. What was so stomach turning regarding Fremont's buffet. I have eaten there more times than I can count and have never had a problem, except the dim lighting. I wouldn't compare it to anywhere on the Strip, but for the price I have no complaints. Will be going to Vegas in February and will probably dine there again unless there was something really gross in your food. Please update us. Thanks.
RE Fremont buffet. The hamburgers were in a bin that was full of grease, not a little puddle, but FULL of grease. I cant recall everything else i put on my plate, but it was all basically one bite and done. I did have a peice of fried chicken that wasnt too bad,and i ended up eating salad. Maybe we just hit it on bad day, just saying we wont do it again, too many other places to choose from.

I rememember when the Gold Coast would give you a Bloody Mary with your buffet, and they had one of the best.

Since I usually go for early dinner (before 6) I ask for a booth in the lighted areas, especially on seafood night. much closer to the crab legs, lol. If I'm there in the morning I will ask for a booth in the lighted areas also. They usually leave the booths for the elderly and handicapped and groups but I usually give an excuse that I can't see under the dim light so need a more lighted area. It also helps that I go early where it isn't as crowded.

As for stomach turning, sometimes the food can look unappealing. I also notice that although I normally love to eat bacon (crispy) I don't like the processed bacon at the buffets, too oily and soggy so I might eat one piece or two only. hmmm, I wonder if I ask the omlette chef if he could crisp the bacon, never thought of that one.
