Buh-Bye

Hmm.. yet another record no. of folks renouncing citizenship, I find it hard to believe it's solely on more stringent tax laws. It seems like folks are leaving in droves, well relatively.

"Last year, a record 2,999 Americans gave up their citizenship or terminated their long-term U.S. residency, according to new data from the U.S. Treasury Department. That was more than three times the number in 2012, and greater than the combined totals for 2011 and 2012. ..."

And yet another failure of reading comprehension. These are people who don't live here. For example, a person who happened to be born in the USA (and has a USA birth certificate), but lives in Mexico, France, etc. Indubitably not an accurate indicator of anything.
They are renouncing their citizenship. Based on the number it seems to be a BIG indicator of something. But of course you think that the word "president" must be capitalized at all times, so I doubt you would understand.
If you look hard enough, you can "find" a correlation between any two variables. And also between a lie and reality.

Here, I'll use it in a sentence (again). The word president should be capitalized when referring to the President of the USA, as it appears in the Constitution of the USA. You can confirm the proper spelling of the word president, in that context, by reading some Supreme Court opinions.

Talk about lack of reading comprehension, try again
"Instead, he said there are three other reasons for the recent increases in the number of expatriations. ..".

The article is trying to give other possibilities as to why people are leaving. I suppose the past two years, which saw record amounts renounce, were foreigners as well?
Teddy Cruz is trying to renounce his Canadian citizenship.
People aren't leaving, for pete's sake!! These are PEOPLE WHO LIVE IN OTHER COUNTRIES!!!!!

They are simply transferring their citizenship to the place where they live. It's a huge hassle to live in France (e.g.) as a US citizen, so they become citizens of France. FFS!!
chill jill!
One can hold duel citizenship.
A National Science Foundation survey recently revealed that 26% of Americans believe the sun revolves around the earth. Coincidentally, 26% of Americans listen to Rush Limbaugh.
