Bus to Downtown Question

I stay at The Orleans, and usually shuttle it to the Strip then bus it to Downtown.

However, I noticed there are bus stops outside The Orleans (I believe on West Tropicana and/or on Cameron Street).

Does anyone know if these bus routes go directly Downtown ?

Any other info is appreciated.

Thanks so Much, Rick
nope.

the one you are asking about (NOT the one that goes to the strip) is the 104. you have to transfer along the way to the 207.
They keep changing the routes/stops, etc.

You can catch the Tropicana line east bound and then transfer to the 108 or 109. Either of those will get you close to downtown (Bonneville), I believe. 108 would be better.

If there's a bus going north, you can transfer to the Charleston line, which will get you to Bonneville.

Your best bet is still the shuttle to Bill's and then go in front of Paris to catch the SDX.

I appreciate the fast responses.

I guess I'll either cab it, or do what I've been doing (shuttle to Strip/bus to Downtown).

Rick

Cab will run you just short of $30 with tip. Or one or two hands of blackjack. Or three minutes of craps. I've been cabbing more since I realized I'd think nothing of putting a green chip in the circle but would spend two hours on busses rather than spend more that $2 to get across town.
The 104 (along side Orleans) will get you there with a tranfer to the 208, I think. But I'd probably take the Trop bus (in front of Orleans) to the Trop/Strip corner and pick up the SDX north to Downtown.

We have cabbed it to Downtown also.

I'd say half the time it's a cab and the other times we bus it.

i think for myself, public transportation is the obvious chioce given that this is how i get around every day of my life here in new york.

kind of like how some people who drive every day would never consider another way of getting around and rent a car.
