Bye Bye Bally's Steakhouse

We just returned home from Vegas. We were saddened to hear that the Steakhouse at Bally's will be leased out, I believe to B.J.'s, which I am not familiar with.

What about the venerable Sterling Brunch, you ask? That question is not answerable. It will be on hiatus for awhile. I suggested remodeling the Big Kitchen buffet area for thr new home of the Sterling Brunch.

We did enjoy the brunch last Sunday, the last one in the near future.

Actually it will be BLT Steak which is a well known franchise.

Sad to hear that. Had some wonderful memories in that place. Very old school Vegas, white tablecloth service. My parents always got at least one meal comped and me and the DH got to go along for the ride.

I have several pics on my wall of those dinners - a photographer was always there on the weekends.

They had the best banana cream pie.

Bally's Steakhouse, The Range and Les Artistes all seem to blend together in my hazy brain. Now, they're all closed. Would have been nice to keep one of them.

Since we do not have a BLT near Chicago, I read the article linked above and also visited their websites.

Looks like Ruth's and BLT are similar in price. Old Homestead is a bit higher.

Wow. Very sad news. Sterling Brunch is one of my favorite meals.

Awww! So sad to hear this! My husband and I got a comped meal there a couple nights after our wedding in Aug. 2000; we were supposed to have our wedding reception at Paris (wedding in their chapel). Well, a couple weeks before our wedding, we find out Evander Holyfield is fighting there and all the reception rooms will be taken up-we had to move our reception to the top floor of Bally's. Nothing like a 30+ minute walk in the post-fight crowd from Paris to Bally's to get to our 2 hr open bar! Just my memory, lol, but we enjoyed our very expensive Steakhouse dinner!!
