Originally, I thought Harrah's was going to just demolish Imperial Palace, and make their own casino larger, but they changed the name to ( The Quad )..bad name, and still confusing layout.
Now, O'Shea's is gone, and Bill's is history. Once again, there were rumors in the past that the Flamingo would gobble up Bill's , and make their hotel bigger. MGM engulfed the old ( Marina hotel ) into theirs.
Anyway, I am glad to see the name ( Gansevoort ) will be changed. I just hope they don't give the future hotel another letter name. Sahara was good, SLS is bad. Fitzgerald's was fine, the D is too plain.
