Caesars Palace

Was looking at staying here on my next trip. Can someone give me the scoop on the difference in the tower rooms. Is one tower nicer than the other. Which towers have a better view of the strip?
Is the new tower, Octavious, open yet? If so, that is probably the one you want.

I like Augustus tower. the rooms are spacious and there is a jacuzzi tub in every room. For the most part, the even numbered rooms give you a Bellagio fountain view and from the odd number rooms you get a pretty decent view of the strip to the north.

Palace Tower is almost as nice. again, jetted tubs in every room. The Palace Tower premium rooms (not a suite even though you might hear it referred to as a suite) is a large room with his and hers bathrooms connected by a walk through shower. The normal Palace Tower rooms are slightly smaller than Augustus. The only view I have ever had in that tower was a pool view. Palace Tower is a hike from registration

Forum Tower was remodeled a couple of years ago. I haven't stayed in that one, but have been told there is an awesome shower, but no tub. I don't know anything about Forum Tower views

I think I read something about some remodeling having happened in the Roman Tower. Other than that I can't tell you anything about Roman or Centurion towers
Ok thanks Karen. It appears the Octavious tower is open. I have always wanted to stay at caesars but never have. Look like I am going to give it a try. Taking a buddy out there. He will be a vegas virgin so should be fun!
I will be staying at Caesars for the first time in early Feb... We are booked into the Forum Tower.
Will try to post a room review while we are there.

I'll be staying in a Forum Tower room in a couple weeks... When I was booking my comp, I had a choice of the Forum Tower or the Roman Tower... She was quite adimant that I did not want to stay in the Roman Tower. After reading some absolutely horrible reviews on the Roman Tower, it looks like the Forum Tower is the way to go.

The one thing that I have read online about the views of the Forum Tower rooms, is that some are obstructed and vary from room to room. The rooms also do NOT have floor to ceiling windows, which does impact the view as well.

I haven't stayed at Caesers since my first trip to Vegas in 1969. I sure bet things have changed a lot. All I remember is the blue lights outside our window as I looked out over the strip. At that time I said it was IMPOSSIBLE for any more hotels to be built on the strip. Boy was I wrong!

Across the street was the Flamingo, and on the plot of land where Bally's now stands was a casino called the "BONANZA" . Walked in through swinging doors and the dealers wore tie string ties. Friendly place and a lot of fun. Dollar BJ was common at both Caesers and Bonanza, and everywhere else in town. Boy was it fun then.
The forum tower rooms are very nice. Not nearly as large as Augustus and Octavius, but plenty large enough. Karen is right, there was not a tub but has a kickin shower, nice robes, tv in the bathroom, etc..

Augustus was fantastic, step up from the forum tower. Octavius rooms are very nice, about the same size as Augustus, but newer furnishings. I didn't like the extra walk, they are WAY past the Augustus elevators. Last time I was there, my friend was in the Octavius room before the official opening, but some of the rooms were ready. She had alot of problems with internet not working, some of the lights not working, etc... I'm sure they've worked most of those bugs out by now.

Don't worry about the forum tower room, they are really nice. Depending on how busy they are when you're there, they might upgrade you for asking.

My offer was for a Forum tower room.
They put us in a Palace tower room.
The room was comfortable and nice. The walk from our room to exit leading to the strip was not bad at all.
The casino seemed 'older', not really run down but certainly not new and updated. Lots of 'older machines' still on the floor.
Enjoyed our stay..mostly played elsewhere. Ate at Noodle #9 (I think that is the name)..exceptionally good, but pricey
Forum tower rooms were remodeled about 3-4 years ago. Elevators are just off the casino floor near so you're right in the action if you don't like walking too much.
Do the rooms in the "Octavious " tower all have jacuzzis too?
