Can you come close to even with VP in Vegas area

Sorry Money, I know of only one case history and it was based on machines that are now 20 years old. There is nothing related to modern machines that supports your assertion.

The only reason the timing worked is because they knew the exact RNG algorithm and the speed of the machine. Hence, using a faster computer, they could predict within a fraction of a second when the next RF would be available. Even then they missed most of the time, however, by raising the odds of hitting a RF from 1 in 40K to more like 1 in a 100 they were able to profit.

Not sure what point you were trying to make.

That casinos can (and have) cheat and geniuses like you will never know it as you plug away at your hypothetical "to infinity" edge?

Funny, I keep winning ... is that why they cheat? ... to let me win more money?

Give it up. You are clearly out of touch with the real world of VP. Your silly posts are getting boring and your ridiculous assertions are nothing more than conspiracy nonsense. In other words, you are making a fool of yourself on every post. Go find something to rant about that you actually know something about.

Dick, you are as much a VP pro (from that gambling heartland of Minnesota) as you were a bowling pro.
Arc, please refer to my post. Really curious if it is possible to play more hands using two machines, than just playing on one single machine. thanks.

When has Arc ever said he was a VP Pro? Do you even pay attention to what is being written? I suspect that most of your posts are written in a drunken stupor. I suspect you are a professional .... a professional alcoholic. It's fine to argue about VP but why do you insist on making fun of him for trying to become a professional bowler? I admire anyone trying to pursue a dream of trying to become a pro at a sport (or game if you wish). You really are a bitter little fella that gets his thrill from other people's misery. Are the other fifty people in Rhode Island as miserable as you? It's time to put you on IGNORE.

I dont think Arc has ever used the term "pro" to describe his VP play, but he does claim to have a consistent annual income which, according to the tax law, entitles him to call himself a pro (a profit for three out of five years means it is no longer a hobby) and take tax deductions for his gambling expenses (parking, tips, medical care for sore fingers, etc) on his Schedule C.

But more importantly -- ARC -- can you really play two machines faster than one?????
Yes, you can play two machines MUCH faster than one. You position yourself not quite at the center since the deal/draw button is on the right of most machines. On the first machine you look at the cards, hold your cards, press draw and look away while the machine plays the hand, and then do the same on the other machine. Without looking you press the next deal while you are still playing the other machine. By the time you look back the cards are dealt and ready to be held. Then you keep alternating.

Essentially you overlap the draw, credits counting and next deal with playing the other machine (a double tap takes care of the last two). It does take practice to get the feel of it but pretty soon you get into a rhythm where your can play each machine almost as fast as playing one alone ... about 600-800 hands/hour (although I've seen people, mostly young guys, that can go even faster).

Clearly, this mode is not for entertainment since you miss out on most results. You are simply maximizing the total coin-in ... and therefore your profit potential.
I've never considered myself a pro because I never played at a high enough denomination to make a lot of money. My profits in some years have been as low as $5K ... clearly not enough to live on. I have a pension and 401K that takes care of our expenses.

OTOH, my best year was winning about $55K. So, there is money to be made and it's nice to have the extra money as well as meeting new friends who are regular players. It is also something my wife and I did together. The free gifts, food, rooms and other comps are also a nice extra.

Arc

Do you file schedule C or do you file winnings as other income and losses on schedule A?

Thanks

Actually, other than casinos, I never have more than 2 drinks in a week. I do enjoy the free premium booze at casinos like B & B or Makers Mark.
I am not miserable at all. I enjoy life with a smile every day. Especially the postings of these fake "pro's".
Even Jean Scott has always said that the best you can do is play a roughly even game and enjoy the comps and casino atmosphere as a bonus. I am of that school. And as a 25 year FPDW and 10/7 DB player I am a lifetime WINNER exclusive of all the comps, jackets, free rooms, trinkets, food, booze, etc. But I am sane enough to realize I am not a "pro" and furthermore, with the increasingly thin margins available that "no one" is a pro in 2011-at least not in Nevada.
Excuse me for trying to warn the gullible about the patent lies of the scammers and the deluded. When it comes from a failed pro bowler who sold everything, moved to Vegas only to go belly-up and move back to the lovely climate of------MINNESOTA with his tail between his legs- I find it especially galling.
