Do you file schedule C or do you file winnings as other income and losses on schedule A?

Thanks

I've done both, currently I'm using Schedule C. It all depends on your personal situation as to which is best. Using schedule A you increase your AGI which can affect your deductions. OTOH, you have to pay self-employment tax with Schedule C.

Actually, other than casinos, I never have more than 2 drinks in a week. I do enjoy the free premium booze at casinos like B & B or Makers Mark.
I am not miserable at all. I enjoy life with a smile every day. Especially the postings of these fake "pro's".
Even Jean Scott has always said that the best you can do is play a roughly even game and enjoy the comps and casino atmosphere as a bonus. I am of that school. And as a 25 year FPDW and 10/7 DB player I am a lifetime WINNER exclusive of all the comps, jackets, free rooms, trinkets, food, booze, etc. But I am sane enough to realize I am not a "pro" and furthermore, with the increasingly thin margins available that "no one" is a pro in 2011-at least not in Nevada.
Excuse me for trying to warn the gullible about the patent lies of the scammers and the deluded. When it comes from a failed pro bowler who sold everything, moved to Vegas only to go belly-up and move back to the lovely climate of------MINNESOTA with his tail between his legs- I find it especially galling.

It's that "other than casinos" caveat that sounds interesting. How many nights a week do you get drop dead drunk in casinos?

Now we get to the fun part. Please show proof that I'm "a failed pro bowler" or I "sold everything , moved to Vegas only to go belly up" and "move[d] back"? Tell you what, let's make it a bet. How much do you have to bet that all your statements are true? Let's see you back up your assertions with REAL MONEY. How about $1000 ... you up for it? More? maybe $10,000? Or, are you just a deadbeat loser that throws out lies to try and sound intelligent. I'll be awaiting your response or will you put your tail between your legs ...
Arc, can I go back to my question about playing two machines vs a single machine... the machines I play on have the speed adjustment. I find that at the fastest of the three speeds the selection and display of cards is almost instantaneous. So can playing two machines be faster than this? Or are you at a casino with slower-playing machines? thanks.

I go to a casino once a month tops. I haven't been "drop dead drunk" since high school-long time ago.
You have to admit it seems a bit rich for someone who moved from LV to sunny Minnesota to be pontificating about how one can "make a living" playing VP in Vegas but when challenged can't name a single machine in town where that is possible?
I tell the marks the truth-the salad days are Over. Capital O.

You do sound bitter.

With fast machines you can get well over 1000 hands/hour. I can do over 1200 for an hour or so, but you still can't do as fast as two machines. However, I make no effort to play that fast as it does take away from the enjoyment and increases errors.

So, you go to a casino once a month and yet have been claiming you know all the games available in the Las Vegas area. ROTFLMAO. You just admitted you have no idea what games are available while you've been claiming there's nothing playable for months now. If you weren't such a jerk this would be hilarious. Instead it's just plain stupid.

I also see you are backing off your previous claims. Add coward to list of terms that describes your actions. You spew made up nonsense and lies for what purpose now? Give us a reason why you chose to make-up these lies. Are you just vindictive because I've pointed out time and again you are wrong? Sure looks like it.

BTW moron, I NEVER moved out of Minnesota. I've always spent my summers there. But, clearly you don't have any sense whatsoever or else why would you continue to dig deeper into the pile of steaming crap you've already gotten yourself into.

Finally, I'm still not giving away any plays on a public board. You can whine all you want. If you want to find them get off your lazy butt and do the work.
Well... I find it hard to believe ANYTHING that might be claimed on a public message board with anonymous "handles." But it is entertaining.

Tell me where the unicorns are Dick. You are a joke-go change a diaper.

For those who really want to know where I play, it is no "Mission Impossible" secret:
Palms FPDW progressives. Just came back from Reno where I played the Silver Legacy FPDW right at the entrance nbear Virginia St., accross the street from the McDonald. See Dick- my plays are REAL unlike the Ooompa-Looompa fantasies you have in sunny Minnesota.
Here's a picture of this REAL play at the Silver Legacy:
What Dick Mustain REALLY is

Here's a nice Reno Royal-and I still am not fake enough to call myself a "pro".

I agree with your caution but note that I make my plays public, usually accompanied by videos showing me playing them-often hitting a royal.
My plays are real. They are all positive plays and can easily be confirmed. Just go to the Silver Legacy in Reno and you can play the FPDW at the Virginia St. entrance right now. Go to the Palms and play their FPDW progressives-right now. They are real, When you ask these charlatans, such as Minnesota Fathead, where their claimed "make a living" machines are, they are quite elouquent in their silence.
The REALITY is that there are no "top secret" plays in LV or Reno. Sharpies, like myself, make it a habit of checking paytables on a daily basis. The "word" got out very quickly when those plays existed (and they DID [past tense] exist). I am very connected to that grapevine. Since the paytables are right on the machine there are no private "hidden" plays as these charlatans, crooks and fantasists pretend.
