Fritos and funk .
Got it-- On my subway trains, they get on/get off the ChinaTown/Canal St. stop-- bad re-used, revolved oil stuck in clothes.
Funk comes from sweating in your clothes for 10-14 hours.
Not everyone can afford deoderant or wants to use it...or knows about it or cares
The smell is almost debiiltating
