Car rental, one way drop off advice.

Can anyone suggest a good car rental company with a reasonable drop off rate. Picking up a car in Seattle and dropping off in San Francisco. Thanks.
Depending on how far out your trip is, you might try calling them all to see if they have a "San Francisco" car they would like returned "home". Might surprise yourself, but this should be done within 2-4 days of your travels. Don't give up your "other" reservation.

"Demand" a deal if you find one. Good luck.

I've done this a couple times with good results, but it has been years since the last time.

I've had terrible luck looking for one way rentals from Vegas to NY. Most want insane drop off fees.
I'm having the same problem. We want to pick up a vehicle in June from Vegas and then take a road trip back home to WI. The prices I'm getting are outrageous

I used Enterprise YEARS ago from Miami to Boston and then a year later for Boston to Miami. Worked out well. I don't remember the cost, but if you could pickup / dropoff at an airport location that cost is a little less I believe.

Also, check out services like Hotwire . com, you don't know the company you use until you book it, but it will give you the prices.

Can easily get quotes for all the big name car rental services online and put together a list... Use hotwire last... I used to book a ton of flights on Hotwire.
