I've been watching for my July trip and it sucks. I tried Sams Club for the first time and there rentals are $60 to $95 cheaper than Costco for same cars and companies. Still too high, so will keep checking, but Sams is now in the play too.

this past week our 4 day rate dropped $42. which was more in line with what we have paid in the past. WIth all the taxes and the rental it is at $31 per day or one or two cab rides. WE always do lots of driving in town and venturing out to play golf, so the rental works best.

I've always had great luck with https://carrentalsavers.com/ >no credit card needed, can cancel and rebook pretty effortlessly. This place has always the cheapest by far(including Costco) for our last several trips.

I just booked 8 days through Costco travel. Mid-size car for $171.61. 5/25 to 6/2
WHHHO HOOOO!
I put in a bid @ priceline for $9 a day....Not holding my breath.

I'll be downtown on Monday.

They finally came down I booked Costco intermediate for $169. It started at 262, I re-booked 5 or 6 times. I leave next Friday so I will still keep looking. Come on Vegas. Glad I wasn't there for the earthquake.
