Maybe if you offer to shampoo the airplane carpet during flight, they will waive the fees for you? I would imagine that you would get a very warm reception when you check in at your hotel with your carpet shampooer. Hell in some hotels, they probably don't shampoo the carpets more than once a year, so you would be doing them a huge favor.
When I stayed at Binion's, I found out they shampoo the carpet as part of their housekeeping after every guest checked out!
Twice, when I checked in, they gave me my room key although the room was not ready. They told me I could put my luggage away.
Both times, they were shampooing the carpeting.
Strange, but true.

I of course was joking in my post, but it seems like I've stayed in a few very worn out rooms where the carpeting looked filthy (hint Flamingo and Luxor Pyramid). Even if you have a commercial shampooer, with a heavy duty vacuum system to it, I would think several hours or more would be needed to dry it out? I've seen where spot repairs have been done in casinos, and they have a commercial blower on the area they just cleaned. They also have the shampooed area cordened off.
