Casino host response time

We are CET Diamond and have had same casino host for about 10 years. We go to LV twice a year for one week each trip. We book thru our host but it always takes numerous emails and phone calls before she gets back to us (about 2-3 weeks later). This time I booked thru VIP services because I am tired of waiting for her to get back to us. Can anyone tell me if this is the norm for response time? She has always said to book thru her but I've reached my boiling point after waiting 2-1/2 weeks this time.
Screw her...make your reservations online. They get some sort of credit I suppose if you book through them. But she isn't doing her job, so don't let her get any kind of credit. The only reason a host shouldn't get back to you the same day, is that you called in after they left for the day!
Wow! I wouldn't put up with that kind of wait. My host at Palazzo always gets back to me within the hour if she's working that day, or first thing the next morning at worst if she's on a day off. I've even had my phone ring within 5 minutes of sending her an email request, with a confirmation for my requested reservation and a check to see if I want any other bookings for shows, restaurants, etc. And I'm just a lowly Gold Grazie member, barely qualifying for a host there at all!
Thanks for your responses. Always nice to hear what others have to say.

We have never had a host and go 1-2 times per year. Gamble 3-4 k per trip at the MGM hotels and most of the time we stay at the MGM. We always get 3 free nts. and my wife gets around $150 free play. Would I get better deals with a host? Thanks for any help anyone can give us.

Thanks,

In my opinion, not anymore. Years ago our host would treat us to a dinner once in a while. She hasn't done that in recent years. We do charge dinners to our room and then, when we leave, ask host on duty to look at our final bill. (We do get 5 free nights/month plus other offers in the mail, free play included.) At CET they first deduct your points, and if you still have a balance, then will look at "comping" you. We have always had enough accumulated points for them to take, however. At Wynn/Encore the host on duty looks at a chart to see how much to comp you based on your play. I'm guessing CET might do that also. If that's the case, it doesn't matter so much if you have your own casino host or not....just ask the host on duty to look at your "play". But "high rollers" with a casino host most likely get "extras"!

We live on the East Coast and because we go to Mohegan Sun frequently, we have a host there. He does do extra favors for us occasionally, but I'm sure that they're all within some guideline.
Thank you for your help.

Our host always gets back to us within hours, even if it's just to say that it will take him a day or two to get back to us. It's usually all done within 24 hrs of our initial email.

what I have found is that really the only thing a host can do for you that you can't do for yourself is they can make sure you get a better room type that you might otherwise get by booking online or calling. In Vegas, anyway. If you are a super high roller, they can get you some additional perks, but for most of us, a room upgrade is about all they are going to be able to do.
Agree with the others.
Dump that lazy unorganized slug who calls herself a Host.
VIP can do just as well for you.
