- The old Stardust Hotel was the one given to Rosenthal to manage by the mob. It is referred to as "The Tangiers" in the movie. Under Rosenthal it was the first major casino to offer sports betting.

- If you park by the front door at Marie Calendar's restaurant on Sahara Blvd you will likely be within the blast radius of the car bomb in Rosenthal's car.

- There is a walled off gold course community behind Paradise Rd on the northern end of the strip. This is where the FBI was spying on Rosenthal via airplane...when the the plane unexpectedly ran out of fuel and was forced to land on the golf course fairway.

- Spilotro's (Joe Pesci) gang was notorious for breaking into vaults in town simply by punching holes in the wall. His gang was caught by the FBI in a sting in what is now an abandoned warehouse. Its about 2 blocks away from where Rosenthal-Deniro's car blew up on Sahara. That was the beginning of the end.

- Spilotro's pawn shop, the Gold Rush, was kitty corner on Las Vegas Blvd accross from the Worlds Greatest Gift Shop (right by the Sahara Hotel). Ths is where he pawned all the stuff he stole from all over the city.

- Other highlites from the tour include: restaurant owned by Spilotro, Restaurant where the gangsters all hung out, house where Robert Deniro's character lived in the movie Casino (not actually Rosenthal's house), several other celebrtiy houses.

I note one other thing. At least one of the two cops who drives up to Sam's house, when Ginger had gone ballistic, is a real cop. They filmed the series Cops at least in two different decades in Las Vegas. You can see this guy as a regular officer in the 90's and as a sergeant in the 2000's. There is no doubt he is the same guy.

You're right, his name is Randy Sutton.

Any explanation of why so many comics had roles in the movie? Don Rickles, Alan King, Kevin Pollack, Dick Smothers. Even Joe Pesci and Frank Vincent were a comedy team at one time. Seems like risky casting for such a grim movie. But can't deny that it worked.

I'd love to know what kind of wristwatch Deniro's character is wearing in this movie. Been trying to buy one for a few years,am also interested in the glasses he wears. If anybody knows please help.

Bulgari was the only jeweler credited in the movie but I think the watch in question may be a tri gold Piaget.

The high rolling asian is Nobu Matsuhisa of Nobu's restaurants. Interesting thing is DeNiro is actually one of Nobu's partners.

Any closeup of the watch?
