Casino Scents: Fragrances To Entice Your Play

Casino Scents: Fragrances To Entice Your Play
My article in Vegas Bright this week.

CASINO SCENTS

I think the same people who think the Plaza is "fresh and appealing" are the same people who bath in the perfume before they walk out the door. Making me choke and gag as they walk by, I dislike all the piped in scents and stop frequenting the places that use it.
I always feel like I've come home when I walk into the Flamingo even thought I never stay there anymore
In general I like coconut/brown sugar aromas, but Mandalay Bay way overdoes it, and I can't stand it for long. Mirage also, I seem to recall. Just too much.

Ven/Pal is suffocating, old lady perfume smell. I avoid the place because of it.

Wynn and Bellagio...ahh. Wonderful fresh 'nothing' to the senses. Probably why I like those two best of all.

Caesars is old cigar when you first walk into the casino. I get used to it, but don't like it. For a while it seemed to improve, but last time was strong.

The Plaza has toned their scent down quite a bit in recent years....thankfully.

I think you would be hard pressed to find a casino without a piped in scent at this point,
it just seems like some are much more noticeable than others.
the casinos clearly don't care about the millions of us who SUFFER with chronic allergies. perfumes are a huge trigger. and the stupid women (and men) who hose themselves down with cologne are downright rude and stupid. El Cortez is the worst for smoke and fragrance.

They seem drawn to sit by me on flights.
I think the plaza perfume was to take your senses away from the "Fremont street" sewer smell. I don't mind the smell they now pipe in. My favorite smell in a casino is the cigar that I am enjoying at the time!
