How often does that happen and at what play level (25c, 50c $1etc)?

It doesn't happen that often so I can't quantify. It's not really a science. And in terms of denom, it also depends on the market. If you're in a highly locals market with lots of quarter games like say Laughlin you might see more but if you're in Vegas or something you might not catch anyone's eye until you get to the $1+ range.
Hey Boss,

Does it bother the casinos if a player takes a free play offer, gambles their fair share at your casino but doesn't stay in the room as per the fine print agreement?

Not that I've ever seen. Generally you don't make the radar until you start redeeming free play without any incremental play.
Welcome back casinoboss.

What are your ideas on Sheldon Adelson/Sands/Venetian cutting back on comps?

Las Vegas Sands cuts bait: Comps

“No more comped rooms. No food and beverage. No showroom credits. We’re selling rooms,” Adelson said.

I watched the "Undercover Boss" show when the CEO (or whatever) from the MGM was on. At the end of the show he said something to the effect, "Our employees are our most valuable assett". I about lost my lunch when he sat there and said it with a straight face. The slot machines are the only "Employees" that you care about. They don't call in sick, they don't bitch about not getting a raise in six years+, no unemployment to pay, no benefits to pay, etc, etc.

I feel like I got less good room offers with less freeplay this spring. Think I played a lot more last time out in October than normal. Are they cutting back or maybe I booked during a large convention
How much does it effect my offers if I only make it out there very six months? Do I drop off the radar?

thanks...good to have you back

I think from a PR perspective it's a nightmare but that in concept it's not a bad move if he really does have enough convention business to fill the hotel.

It depends on how they're looking at it. A locals casino may only look at your last month or last 3 months play, regional 6 months, and a destination 12 months. And maybe they're just cutting back in general. I don't think when you booked would have anything to do with it since the offer had been predetermined.
What you say about slot machines is true enough, but I'm sure what he said was true. Without an inviting staff that offers good customer service, those people can go elsewhere to spend their money. Very few people would go to a restarant that served great food, but had lousy service. The same can be said of a bar that serves a great drink at low prices, but the bartender reminds you of your worst enemy! Nobody's building new mousetraps out there. It's all a matter of giving the public a reason to buy the moustrap from you and service is consistantly the deal maker or breaker.

Good Luck!
