Casinoboss Answers Your Questions: Part III

I admit to being confused by this contradiction.

Caveat emptor.

Rob Singer has no integrity. He is banned from this site. He constantly makes fun of another man's sick wife. Why you would give him any credibility is beyond me. He's really laughing at you for believing him.

Perhaps so.

He is banned from many sites, and possibly a socio-path. He has said many things I consider deplorable, truly a sicko. He may not be a socio-path, he could be a psycho-path.

I give no one credibility, until IMO they earn it.

This may have already been asked, but...

Is it better to buy in a table game for more?? or to keep adding to your buy in if your losing. Say I buy in for $200 at at $10 blackjack table. The pitboss takes my players card...logs us in with our initial buy in. Now I lose the next 20 hands. (bad player..or bad luck, whatever it is) I buy in for another $200...(stupid I know) but now the pitboss is unaware of that. The dealer doesn't tell...so, is it better to buy in upfront to get rated. Does it matter? Obviously if you're on a roll you'll stick around, but if you don't, you really aren't getting rated are you?

Any response will be appreciated.

Thanks.

Buy-in means very little when rating an average player. It really only matters in two scenarios: 1. You are a high worth player that is getting a rebate on your losses or 2. You are fairly big player with a quick loss (e.g., I bought in for $5K and lost it all in 10 minutes).

For everyone else it's all a function of theoretical win: average bet x hold percentage x decisions per hour x length of time played.

I about lost my lunch when he sat there and said it with a straight face. The slot machines are the only "Employees" that you care about. They don't call in sick, they don't bitch about not getting a raise in six years+, no unemployment to pay, no benefits to pay, etc, etc.

I was wondering why you didn't answer my question when I went back to look at it and saw that it had been hijacked. I don't know how in the world it happened but somehow it did and it even had my email address posted.

Now that it has been fixed, can you give me an answer please.

Ray

What is the question, exactly? Your post is more of a statement.

Steve Wynn was quoted as saying He knows of no one ever winnning at Gambling unless they own a Casino. Do you know of any one who wins at Gambling?

Poker and advantage VP players but even then most of them go bust at some point only to rebuild their bankroll.

I don't know that Wynn said that, but of course there are many, many people who, when they look back on their lives, will have ended up way ahead thanks to gambling.

Lots of lottery winners. A Californian got a lump sum of $141 million a few years back. Or the guy from the song who won the lottery, then died the next day.

Steve Wynn says lots of dumb stuff. If he said that, it just goes on an already-long list.

I don't know about that. I've been playing VP, mostly FDPW, for 25 years and am ever so slightly ahead. I'll let you know if I "go bust".
