CBS is also reporting that Sheldon has told the NFL, "You're in my spot". More details to follow.

Maybe now they'll stop calling it Thursday edition of Monday Night Football.

All that's happened is that CBS has won the right to to show 8 games that will still air at the same time on NFL Network.
Is there a downside here I'm missing? Some great Thursday night CBS shows I'll be deprived of?

Thats huge! Now the Triple 7 pub at MSS will get the Thursday night games - so patrons dont have to watch college lacrosse while the big game is on.

It looks like they will televise only eight games and the games will be at the front end of the season.
The games will also be simulcast on the NFL Network.
