Celebrate July 4th ! ! !

"The Second Day of July 1776, will be the most memorable Epocha, in the History of America. I am apt to believe that it will be celebrated, by succeeding Generations, as the great anniversary Festival. It ought to be commemorated, as the Day of Deliverance by solemn Acts of Devotion to God Almighty. It ought to be solemnized with Pomp and Parade, with Shews, Games, Sports, Guns, Bells, Bonfires and Illuminations from one End of this Continent to the other from this Time forward forever more. You will think me transported with Enthusiasm but I am not. I am well aware of the Toil and Blood and Treasure, that it will cost Us to maintain this Declaration, and support and defend these States. Yet through all the Gloom I can see the Rays of ravishing Light and Glory. I can see that the End is more than worth all the Means. And that Posterity will tryumph in that Days Transaction, even altho We should rue it, which I trust in God We shall not."

- John Adams July 3, 1776

But, DonDiego urges the reader to beware.
Delaware, Massachusetts, New Jersey, and New York prohibit consumer fireworks.

DonDiego suggests residents of these States depart and take up permanent residence elsewhere.

Ref: Are Fireworks Legal in Your State
America's awesome, but consumer fireworks suck.

Yay America
Take residence elsewhere...just be sure not someplace that bans consumers from purchasing booze.

I can remember growing up and my dad buying a few consumer fireworks (sparklers, snakes, pinwheel, picollo petes). I always wanted him to buy the biggest package titled the "Block Party".

While I loved them then, I now see them as a total waste of money.

I view fireworks the same way I view swimming pools. Its nice to have a friend that invites you to enjoy theirs. I'm happy not to waste my own money on either. I prefer to waste my money on the Batman Slot machine in Vegas.

It is all in the eye of the beholder. I am sure you like to gamble and most people would say they would prefer not to waste there money on the Batman slot. I own a pool and a boat and I will be buying a shitload of fireworks, the morters etc and I will never admit that any of them are a waste of money because I like them all.

Anyone who doesn't enjoy Fireworks is a Pussy-Wussy ! ! !

First Timer . . . . . .

Here in NJ, we go to PA to buy our fireworks. Not sure if it's still the law, but was told there's some bizarre loophole in the law that PA fireworks stores cannot sell to PA residents but can sell to NJ residents. So, there are plenty of fireworks here in NJ. The good fireworks are very expensive.

Tut, do you know how much is costs of one nice chrysanthemum?
