OK, this is not vegas related. but its a problem that came up this evening.
someone gave me a phone number to call -- and the number consisted of an area code plus words. in other words, letters only, and no numerals after the area code.
at home this wouldnt be a problem as my telephone dial pad at home has numbers and the corresponding traditional letters.
but my cell phone is a blackberry, and the traditional letters do not appear with the numerals on the key pad.
I was dead in the water.
A friend also has a blackberry and I asked him what he does, and he says he waits to make the call till he can find a traditional phone to help him figure out the numbers. while another friend said there is an application to fix this. okay, another app, but I dont have it now.
Is it just with blackberrys or do other cell phones also lack the look of a traditional telephone dial/keypad ??
believe me, I have better things to do than to try to figure our which number corresponds to "mno"
