CES Show me the love....

Staying at Excalibur for CES and the bus ride to LVCC only took 37 minutes.
Next year I will stay at a monorail hotel. Only stayed at Excalibur due to great price I got of $ 97.00 a night, when I booked Linq wanted $ 245 & up, Ha$$ah's wanted $ 265 & up...

Miss the old days when Imperial Palace & Ha$$ah's used to comp me for 5 days during CES, Then they finally caught on as to why are we giving away these rooms when we can charge eight times the regular rate and all these big companies will pay us what we want.

Tho it was in the balmy 60°'s while back in NY it was 13°, as opposed to a couple years ago I was in line for the monorail while staying at Ha$$ah's & i was wearing cargo shorts and a polo shirt.

It was about 45° & a lady behind me asked if i was cold, i said "No 45 is a heat wave compared to back home". We chatted and I told her i was near Syracuse & she said her brother lives in Syracuse & texted her yesterday his car doors were frozen shut as it was -13° with a wind chill of -35°.

I said yep I flew outta SYR yesterday at 6am.

I find that the professional business women that are at CES are all very friendly and will chat you up. The guys at CES seem to me to be more crass & rowdy /cutting loose at the show.

Years ago when Bieber was at CES , shilling for a Vietnamese Robotics company that there were poeple standing in line for three hours just to get an autographed picture of him. But I bet it maid their daughter / granddaughters day to get a custom signed pic of the once innocent, apple cheeked rock sensation.

SLS or the Westgate?

The monorail site offers discounts for conventioneers.
CES really is huge.
Cargo pants and a polo shirt? Good for you.
I'm pretty warm all the time, Winter at home i go barefoot and wear a white tshirt & gym shorts around the house and keep the furnace at 66°.
My biggest slot hit was at Imperial Palace on a 5 times machine.. I played 75¢ max bet and got 5X Red 7 5X.
No matter how much i hit any button to kill the noise of the loud Ding Ding Ding Ding, nothing stopped the noise until the credits were all displayed and I hit Cash Out and got a ticket $ 1,250.00

I ran to cashier and got my cash as i was under the impression that and payout wins over $ 1,199.00 got you a W-2...

Were you at the Brooklyn Bowl tonite?
It's currently -10 degrees in my Wisconsin town. I'm looking forward to our week of summer.
SLS & Westgate were even higher than Harrahs, but still less than Caesar's asking $550+ a night for basic rooms and even the smallest suites started around $ 1,500 a night.

I would have used the rail if I was on that side of the strip, but I was at Excalibur and would have had to get off the rail at MGM and then walk all the way over to Excali.

It was about three years ago that I did stay at Harrahs and used the discount for the rail. LOL the lines just to get to the rail was all the way back to the entrances to Harrahs/IP and of course with the hune lines they had the escalators turned off.
Sorry, I wasn't there.

I gave up the parties after CES 2015, I went to the Western Digital party at TAO and got totally wasted on open bar Bombay Gin & 7up.

I do not even remember getting back to my hotel room at Circus Circus.
I left my bank locked in the safe and just carried $300 with me for the party and when I woke up the next morning , ALONE

With $ 190.00 still in my pocket and a 1TB Western Digital Blue Hard Drive on the table.
