CET stopping mailers, going Green

Just got an email from my host at Caesar's intimating many changes coming--first among them is that CET properties will now go "Green" and no longer mail offers, but instead only use email. Also, they finally modified their computer systems so that a host at any of the CET properties can now see play made at any other property by any player, and arrange for reservations outside of their normal area, as well as make sure the player has a point of contact (another host) at the other property should the need arise there.
Well, I hope the local casinos still send out the reel rewards free play!!! would suck not to get that anymore. Other than that, this is good news. I get so much crap that I will never use from Harrah's/Caesars properties.
Long overdue.

...... but it's fun getting casino stuff in the mail.

Rick

I love it, a simple cost cutting measure and they spin it that they are going green.
Agree Rick, its always a nice surprise to see what's in the mail, I will miss it too.

Yes, 00, there is spin on everything Casinos do, this one is not as blatant as the Venetian/Palazzo spin claiming our theoretical losses to actually be theoretical wins!
I got the email from my Caesars host yesterday and today via snail mail got a letter from Tom Jenkin, President of Caesars Entertainment Western Division detailing their new "green" policies and stating I will no longer receive paper mail communication from any of their Las Vegas resorts.

I received three mailers from my local Harrah's (Rincon) in the mail today.
What about those who never gave them an email address? Are they going to stop mailers for those folks?

Somehow, I'd like to think they are "smarter" than that. Maybe cut back on mailers for those folks, but I can not seriously believe they will discontinue snail mail all together. There are just too many "good" customers they will not have email addys for.

JMHO, of course. Time will tell.

Go green or go home I guess...

I have mixed feelings- it's nice to get snail mail offers

This is like getting use to "In an effort to go green, we're not gonna change your bed sheets unless this plastic card is on yer bed" requesting it.
Leave my bed alone is my thinking

Maybe the reel rewards wil be loaded on yer card during certain days or you stop at the Rewards center to load them on after showing ID... what do I know? It would save them a big chunk of change.
Good point, RoadTrip. Was wondering the same thing. Can't force someone to get an email (or internet connection for that matter). If they simply list the offers on TotalRewards.com then that is a pull technology--cannot guarantee people will log in routinely to see their offers...
