CET stopping mailers, going Green

"Also, they finally modified their computer systems so that a host at any of the CET properties can now see play made at any other property by any player, and arrange for reservations outside of their normal area, as well as make sure the player has a point of contact (another host) at the other property should the need arise there. "

Although some players will be happy to know they have a friend at another property, one still wonders if these new powers which have been given to hosts are also going to save on the total number of hosts the company must employ.
Bard, While there well may be some "host-attrition", I think it will allow current hosts to concentrate on player development in their own geographic areas. Also, I'm sure at the back end (which they won't tell us about), there must be some type of sharing of the play a player brings to a "out-of-home" casino between the main host -- of one's home casino -- and the visiting casino's host. That way CET can appease both marketing individuals.

I want my mailers.

I'm too lazy to check the web site for offers every day.

I predict this will reduce patronage.

Oh well. Gotta go with the flow.
I am constantly amazed at the number of people who do not have computers. When I sign up new people for Stations cards -- and when I update old accounts -- I always ask the guest for an email address. You'd be surprised how many don't have a computer and don't want one.

My letter said, "we have your email address and phone number on file, so you're already set to continue receiving communication from us."

I wonder if that means they'll call you with offers if they can't email you? That would be very strange.

I would think they'd continue to snail mail offers to people they don't have email addresses for. Otherwise, they'd be cutting their own throat.

For the record, I haven't received any snail mail offers from the Las Vegas properties for at least a month -- they've all been coming via email. I'm just going to create a file folder for CET offers and stick 'em all in there.
Computers I couldn't live without mine LOL. I feel so behind that I don't tweet or facebook. Seriously anyone who doesn't have a computer in this day and age and an e mail address is handicapped. I don't understand why they don't. I have neighbors in the mid 90's who e mail, a few even had I-phones. They have kept up with the times and say it keeps them young. My Dad however no computer or e mail stuck with the mind set, his girlfriend however keeps him in touch.

I mean they have free classes at the library in e mail use. They also offer free time on the library computers. OK rant done.

I would prefer the all e mail format. I lose many snail mails with moving from MI to FL. They don't forward most of them. In Fl I don't get my Caesars Windsor promo's (which are not all on line) or my quarterly Vegas stuff .
What is my mail person going to do if there are no casino mailers.
At least 1/2 of our mail every day has something to do with a casino.
The post office may go broke,
Oh wait
they already are.
I am still getting the "expected" amount of casino snail mail. The only casino's that have an email address for me are the ones that "gave" me something for it. Usually it was FSP.

The others were always told something along the lines of "I don't computer". :::shrug:::

I hate the trend for companies to say they are doing something to be green when in reality they are doing it to save money. Why not just say
we are no longer doing mailers and will use the X amount of dollars we save to add extra comps fort our players. Why try to scam us or seem they
are doing it to be "Green".

Get real....

IF they said, "... dollars we save to add extra comps for our players", they would be scamming us anyway, because there is no way they would "pass along" those savings.
