What part of town are you in OP?
Burger Kings here in Vegas are currently having BOGO free Whoppers and BOGO free Original chicken sandwiches, no coupon necessary.
After 9 years I have come to the conclusion that Smiths supermarkets have the best prices and sales out here of all the grocery stores.
Another great supermarket is Fresh and Easy.
Fresh and Easy, the prepared foods, breads, vegetables, meats, and everything else is 75% off the day before and the day it expires. I have found some awesome deals there. Filet Mignon for like $4 a lb, i'm all over that! All the stuff is still good and fresh, they just can't sell it after that date. The other day there was a bag of limes on the discount rack, I asked the guy why it was like .25 cents, he said believe it or not everything in our stores have dates on them even the fruits and vegetables and even though those limes will be good for a few weeks, we have to discount it, or when it expires we donate it to the food pantry. OK, 5-6 limes for .25 cents, that can't be beat.
If something is discounted it is usually in a certain section in the store. The clearance section. That should be your first stop when you walk in the store.
PRO TIP:
Many times I have gone to buy a package of steaks at F+E, looked through the regular refrigerated steaks area and found a package that was expiring that day or the next and hadn't been marked down yet, Just ask one of the workers and BAM they will reprice it at 75% off.
Let us know how you make out.
